I started Your Next Move because I believe everybody has a career path to discover and a story to tell. But, not everybody knows how to do that, especially when you’re still in college or recently graduated. It may even feel like you’re pushing a big boulder up a hill against all odds.

Throughout my career as a marketing, sales and journalism professional, I have reviewed thousands of resumes, interviewed hundreds of candidates, and hired dozens of people. I’ve worked for companies of all sizes– start-ups and Fortune 500, and non-profits, too. I’ve learned that the person who may be the most qualified for a job doesn’t always get it. Why? Because they are not always the most prepared to land the job. Whether it’s a resume that doesn’t grab the reader, an interview that falls flat, or a job search without a plan, they lose out on opportunities.
